Target Group: Groups 2-4
Staff who work regularly with children and young people. People with particular responsibility for safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare. Examples would be Children’s Services staff and various voluntary and independent sector workers as well as Children’s Centre staff and Attendance Advisory staff.
By the end of this 2 hour webinar briefing the participants will have:
- Learned about the local picture and national landscape
- Recognised hate crime as a safeguarding issue
- Discussed the impact of hate crime on children
- Increased awareness of barriers to children disclosing
- Furthered understanding of how to signpost and refer
