Communicating with Children about Concerns. Having Safeguarding Conversations Workshop - Face to Face Classroom
To develop knowledge and skills in communicating with children where there are safeguarding concerns.
Aims & Objectives: By the end of this one day session, the participants will have:

- Learned about how children communicate with reference to developmental stages, inc disability;
- Developed skills/approaches where abuse is/may be an issue;
- Increased understanding of how to identify concerns; (themes);
- Improved their ability to ascertain child’s wishes and feelings.
Target Group: Groups 3 - 5 Members of the workforce who work predominantly with children, young people and/or their parents/carers and who could potentially contribute to assessing, planning, intervening and reviewing the needs of a child and parenting capacity where there are safeguarding concerns
