CURB Impact

Connect Unite Resist Begin (CURB) was a project funded by the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government (MHCLG) as part of their supporting families against youth crime agenda. CURB ran from May 2019 until December 2020 and this workshop will share the learning, practices and the impact of the programme. Attendees will have the opportunity to access the tools used with young people, to support professionals in their work, to continue to support young people to  understand the risks of youth crime and gang involvement. This is with the hope of preventing young people becoming involved in criminal and gang activities as they grow older.

Target Group: Professionals working with children in school years 5,6 and 7, that are approaching primary to secondary school transition.

Aims & Objectives: By the end of this half day, on-line workshop course the participants will

  • Understand the CURB programme
  • Understand the principles behind this preventative piece of work
  • Have the tools and develop new skills in working with children to prevent future likelihood of criminal activity and involvement in gangs.
