Private Fostering

Private Fostering Regulations were introduced in 2005 that make clear the multi-agency’s response that is needed in order to identify and monitor Private Fostering arrangements. The local authority has a duty to assess and ensure the safety and well-being of the children in these arrangements which are often not reported.
