Learning Objectives

During this 1-day programme we will cover the following areas:

  • What is neglect and why is it important that we understand and know how to recognise it?
  • What does research tell us?
  • What are some of the key causes of neglect?
  • What are the key consequences of neglect?
  • How can we help and support families?
  • How can we safeguard children and young people, including teenagers (often a ‘neglected’ group)?
