Aim

  • The aim of this training is to give participants the knowledge, skills, and understanding needed to effectively follow the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) process,
  • To have increased confidence and ability to refer into the MARAC, and have a comprehensive understanding of their role and responsibilities within the MARAC
  • To have the knowledge of risk assessing in relation to domestic abuse and the use of professional judgement  to know when a referral to MARAC is needed.
  • Participants will learn how to undertake a risk assessment appropriately and sensitively. 

Please note that, whilst this training covers some knowledge of Domestic Abuse, this is not a Domestic Abuse awareness training, which is recommended prior to this course.   

Target Group

Any professional providing any service to members of the public. This training is suitable for professionals at all levels (not just frontline practitioners)
