Non-Violent Resistance Module 4: Running NVR Parent Groups
Please note:
This module is only for practitioners who have completed NVR modules 1-3 (or equivalent), and is for those who intend to participate as a facilitator, or trainee facilitator, in an NVR parent group / course, within the next 6 months.
NVR is an effective practice based evidence course that aims to help parents and carers manage older children and adolescents where there are difficulties due to defiance, conduct problems, child to parent violence, school refusal, ADHD, ASD or significant anxiety.
This module aims to offer ideas to help get a group off the ground and to manage the dynamics of groupwork, as well as the introduction of NVR tools, week by week
Using a mix of teaching, role play and discussion, we will introduce NVR tools including De-escalation, Parental Presence and a further range of NVR tools and techniques that support parents and carers to re-build the relationship with their child / young person.

This is an interactive zoom workshop. With this in mind please be aware that we operate a ‘cameras on’ policy, in order to replicate face to face workshops as much as possible.
